  "So Long Ago"

Well, I remember him...

He was a good friend.

Yeah, it was so long ago...

First saw him standing there.

We were in New York.

But what we were in for, we couldn't have known...

We were roommates;

Sometimes we got so damn sick,

Even in the good hotels.

But through it all, we had a ball.

We were trying to see it all...

In such a short time.

And I'm so glad, I had the chance to learn about the world, and each other, and ourselves...

And I'm so glad, I had the chance to get to know that fella so well...

So long ago...

Well, I remember her...

Think I first saw her back at school.

Don't remember, it was so long ago...

Sat with her on field trips.

And together we talked the hours away.

Traveling down all of those faraway roads.

And through it all, we had a ball.

Trying to see it all...

In such a short time

And I'm so glad, I had the chance to learn about the world, and each other, and ourselves...

And I'm so glad, that I had the chance to get to know that girl so well...

So long ago...

Well, I remember them...

Twenty-nine I could call my friends.

And that was so long ago...

Sure, there were some bad times.

But they were so far outweighed by good.

I still sometimes miss their company so...

Ah, but I'm so glad, I had the chance to learn about the world, and each other, and ourselves...

And I'm so glad, that I had the chance to get to know those people so well...

So long ago...

I'm so glad, I had the chance to learn about the world, and each other, and ourselves...

Thank you Lord, for the chance You gave to get to know those people so well...

So long ago...
